Modular electronic control for electro-hydraulic drives
Half a year ago Linde Hydraulics introduced the electronic control LINC 1 - a universally usable control for hydrostatic propel drives, which can be individually matched to the requirements of the application and enables quick start-up by the customer due to the plug and play principle.

The new two-channel LINC 2 control unit is characterized by high flexibility. It takes over the control of even complex hydraulic and electric drive and work systems.
LINC 2 is particularly suitable for control functions in open and closed loops as well as for combined systems. A function controller and a safety controller in 16-bit technology together with a further 16-bit controller, which has the sole purpose of controlling the numerous PWM outputs, are the core components of this control. A total of 32 proportional solenoid valves can be controlled with LINC 2.
The high number of inputs and outputs - 126 pins can be assigned altogether - creates the conditions for the realization of complex drive and work functions. Besides the components of the electro-hydraulic drives, components like joysticks, travel and brake pedals as well as the combustion engine, among others, can be integrated in the control concept. Due to the redundant concept of the control, safety functions up to performance level d according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1 can be realized.
LINC 2 thereby perfectly supplements the modular product program of Linde Hydraulics, from which powerful hydrostatic drives with perfectly matched hydraulic pumps, motors and manifold valve plates can be configured. The combination with the new "VT modular" valve system for demanding Load-Sensing applications also is highly beneficial in practice. However, the adaptability of the control reaches far beyond the components from Linde. Via flexible interfaces, LINC 2 can be integrated into almost any machine periphery.
The control is contained in a sturdy housing with protection type IP 67. It is not only mechanically, but also electrically highly robust. This is accomplished, among others, by the input voltage protection and the insensitivity to pulses from the electrical system in accordance with ISO 7637-2.
Just like the LINC 1, the LINC 2 is also delivered completely pre-configured. Required functions, machine characteristics as well as vehicle specific data such as weight, battery voltage and wheel diameter have already been entered in the factory. The manufacturer has the possibility to match individual parameters conveniently in the LinDiag diagnostics interface. This way he is able to use the same control for various power classes of a machine or to meet the specific requirements of different countries.
Another major benefit for the machine manufacturer is the fact that he receives all relevant system components of a hydrostatic drive from one source - and that Linde Hydraulics has comprehensive know-how for adapting the control optimally to the required performance data, functionalities and field conditions. From the view of the operator or driver this means that he uses a powerful, comfortable and highly productive mobile machine, which utilizes all possibilities of the intelligent combination of electronics and hydraulics.
